Hello all, and welcome to a special blog post. This is for a live event that IMVU did, the event being... The very first Fashion Show that IMVU has officially hosted! Although fashion shows on IMVU are not new and have been done many a time in the past, this is IMVU's first official one. It is a huge event that they have been working tirelessly on for a while (or at least I would assume so). It was a live event, being hosted on Instagram and YouTube Live. Also, for the past couple of days, if you logged onto IMVU, they would give you presents to help celebrate and get everyone excited for the upcoming event. I can't remember the order the items went in. I can tell you, however, what the items received thus far are...
♕ Selfie Light Ring
♕ Not available for purchase.
♕ Female and Male Mannequins
♕ Not available for purchase
♕ Female and Male Model Walks
♕ Not available for purchase
♕ Female and Male Posepacks ♕ Not available for purchase
Now, let's move on to talking about this fashion show, shall we?
The fashion shows started with the host coming onto the screen. She welcomed everyone to the fashion show, and of course, mentioned all the creators that were going to be featured on this day. For those of you who didn't know, the host is the model, Princess Gollum.
*If you click on her picture it will take you to her Instagram Page.
That is what the avatar looks like for anyone curious. On the video that was posted on their YouTube channel. (Click here to go to the video and watch the fashion show for yourself) She was actually on a webcam, so you could actually see what she looks like.
This fashion show featured real-life designers:
♕ Collina Strada @collinastrada
♕ BruceGlen @bruceglencollection
♕ My Mum Made It @MyMum_MadeIt
♕ Mowalola @mowalola
As always if you do want to go visit those designers all you have to do is click on there @ (@example) and you will be taken to their Instagram accounts.
The first fashion show was for Collina Strada, and the only thing I can say about that one was that it had some nice colors ... If you sat through that whole thing and I enjoyed it. I want to know how? Maybe my fashion choices are too plain or basic, whatever you want to call it, but what I just saw on there ... yeah anyway. Here are just two of the items that were featured in the photoshoot. I will only post these two photos and will not be posting anything about the place of the fashion show just in case others want to see it. Also, because I don't honestly know how to describe that. It literally is beyond words I have access to.
Now, before I get anyone coming at me or dissing the blog, please keep in mind that this is part of my own opinion. I do have an odd feeling towards the show. However, there were items in the show that I actually did enjoy. I liked that the models seemed to be having fun. I like that it had a variety of different models, from a heavy-set model to what looked to be a pregnant avatar as well. Looking at the pictures above, I do like the jewel tattoo and the star pants. They are something I would purchase on IMVU if they were available and single items. I did scroll through the fashion designers' Instagram and website. I am definitely more of a fan of their real-life stuff than what was released on IMVU. If I was more confident in real life, and you know could afford the items. I could see myself picking up some clothes. Though the fashion show frankly freaked me out. I do enjoy the designer. It just wasn't my thing personally.
At the end of the show, they mention the IMVU creators that helped make this thing a reality. The creators for this fashion show were:
♕ EsmeShaw @esmeshaw.vu
♕ MissC @misscimvu
♕ Pharmacist ♕ SecondHarvest
Unfortunately, it doesn't say what the creators did or anything useful like that. So, I have no way of telling you who did what.
The next fashion show was for BruceGlen, and this one was definitely more my type of show. The set was a lot more tamed. That is all I am going to say about that. If you wanted to see what it looked like, then be sure to check out the video below. Here are once again two outfits that the designer featured on their Instagram Page ...
The look of the female avatar, from the way she is dressed, her makeup, her hair, basically everything I am living for. The guys' outfit not so much. Simply because I don't want a brand all over me. However, that outfit with like black and white square backgrounds or some form of a black and white background or something would be amazing ... I may have just talked myself into the outfit. Nope, that is not allowed. I refuse. Just like the last designer there stuff in real life is truly amazing. There are so many fun pieces that I would love to own if I could afford them. I hope that because the items do exist on IMVU that we can eventually purchase the items for ourselves because I'm here for it.
Like the other photoshoot, when this one ended it told the viewers, who the IMVU creators were. The creators were:
♕ Vues @vues.vu
♕ Gaset @gaasset
♕ iDezzBanks @idezzbanks_imvu
The next fashion show was for My Mum Made It, and I honestly loved everything about this photoshoot. From the outfits to the set, it was honestly all amazing to me. This was definitely my favorite fashion show they did for this day. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, when I looked at their Instagram page, I didn't find much to share with you all. They only had one real outfit that I could show that was for the IMVU fashion show. The other image was found in the Papermag article that was done. If you click on Papermag you can go view and read that article.
Those weren't some of the best items that were showcased in the photoshoot. Honestly, I hope this collection gets released because I need so much stuff! Just like the other fashion designers, I did take a look at their official website/store as well as their Instagram page. There was a lot of cute stuff, and if I had the money, I would definitely see myself purchasing some items.
They only had one creator for this project and that creator is:
♕ Yalla @yalla.vu
Last, but certainly not least the fashion show for the designer, Mowalola. This was another weird fashion show not going to lie. I didn't mind this one as much. Maybe I am just simply getting used to the crazy side of fashion shows. After all, with it being online, the ideas and abilities are basically endless. I will say it definitely gave me outer space and sci-fi vibes. It Kind of looked like the aliens was having a cool dance party/picnic. I'm kind of upset I wasn't invited. Even if it was burning and basically a war by the end of it ... Anyway, let's move on to the photos. Once again, I found myself unable to find many photos to share. It was actually IMVU's Instagram that came to the rescue this time.
Don't get me wrong, I love everything astrology and outer space-themed, except when it comes to aliens. I won't say they don't exist, but I won't say that they do either. Some of the items are cute, like in the first picture, the outfit and hair are amazing. I've recently been addicted to pink/rose-colored hair, so that is right up my alley. Now, as for their real-life shop. This was definitely the most enjoyable website to go on. The items that were featured are cute, I can see myself picking up a couple of items. I don't think that clothing would be a part of the purchase. It's just not my cup of tea.
The creators featured for this fashion show were:
♕ Yannomi @yannomi_imvu ♕ Marta Lalov
♕ Exif @exif.vu
At the end of the video, the host Princess Gollum sat down with the designers and talked to them. It's actually an interesting part of the video and definitely my favorite part of the entire video. This is definitely a part I would suggest watching, especially if you love fashion, and want to learn more about designing. It's definitely something I enjoyed watching. I can see myself watching it again in the future.
That is the end at least for today. Did you like any part of the fashion show? Did you even watch it? Are you going to watch it now after reading this? I would love to know in the comments below. You can also join our discord server where we will be talking about the blog and more. It's in the little social media bar by the logo, or you can just click on Discord right there and go to the server. Don't forget to also follow us on Instagram and like our Facebook Page. You can always talk there as well. Now the moment you have all been waiting for the video ...
❕ If any of the creators above have an IMVU Instagram and I missed it please feel free to let me know the @ and the link to it so that I can fix it. Thank you.❕
❕ Right before uploading this blog, IMVU changed how the videos were perceived. They now have a single video for the fashion show and a single video for the interviews making it more organized. Because they did this I will be adding both videos down below. The top will be the fashion show the bottom will be the interviews. ❕
Until Next Time ...
